Do you know the back story of this event? From March 15, 2011

David Dellifield (a 39 year-old, non-smoker) was diagnosed with stage 4, well-differentiated squamous-cell carcinoma (throat cancer) on February 2, 2011,after going to the doctor for a swollen lymph node and earache.
David had already begun training for the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati. He had put 125 miles in since 1-1-11. This race will be his 5th FULL Marathon (26.2 miles) since the Flying Pig in May 2009. David began radiation and chemotherapy treatments on March 8. He currently receives radiation 5 days per week and chemotherapy once per week for 3 hours. He will finish his treatments on May 2--2 days after the Flying Pig Marathon. David plans to finish the marathon even though his cancer treatments will not yet be completed. David (an alumni of Ohio Northern University and Bluffton University) and his family are inviting you to join them at a local 2.5 mile event “Sending Cancer on A Run” at Ohio Northern University on April 10, 2011. Proceeds from this event will be split 50/50 with Not By Choice Outreach. David is the husband of Jami, father of Nora and Ian, son of Dennis and Marilee (Hefner) Dellifield, and son-in-law of Gary and Penny (McDougle) Cavinee.

Something AMAZING is about to happen in our community and Hardin County....It is the 2nd Annual Ada Midget Football & Cheerleading Cancer Walk. This spectacular event will take place Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Ada War Memorial Park & Stadium from 12:30 - 5:30 p.m. Together we can educate the youth and individuals in our community about the importance of giving back and helping those in need. It truly is about the "WE" and not the "ME"! It is about coming together as a Community! Together we can offer hope to those in need! Cancer stinks! For you don't Chose Cancer, Cancer Chooses you!

How can you make a difference, you ask? .... Support this cause by individual sponsorship, purchasing one of our 16 brilliant colored cancer walk t-shirts, making any kind of donation, or by buying one of our 50/50 raffle tickets. Be Part of our Pack and Join The Fight! 100% of the Proceeds go to "Not By Choice Outreach" in Kenton, Ohio to directly benefit cancer patients in our county and community; not cancer research.
